Teams-->Projects-->Assistants Hierarchy

The Hierarchy of Teams, Projects, and Assistants in Ejento AI#

At the core of Ejento AI lies a fundamental hierarchy that defines how work is structured and organized: Teams → Projects → Assistants. This structure is crucial for managing collaboration and accessibility in the platform.

Teams#

A Team is the highest organizational level in Ejento AI. Teams are typically created to group members working on related objectives or tasks. Each team is led by a Team Owner and can include multiple team members, each with specific roles and permissions.

Team Level Permissions#

Team members have different levels of access, ensuring proper control over sensitive data and functionality:
Team Owner: The Team Owner has the highest level of control, with full privileges for all assistants within the team. They can create, edit, and manage assistants and projects, as well as assign permissions to other team members.
Team Viewer: By default, users added to a team are Team Viewers. They can view and chat with all assistants within the team but cannot make edits.

Example: Marketing Team#

Imagine a Marketing Team working on various campaigns. The team could include:
A Team Owner who oversees the entire team's work.
Team members like content creators, data analysts, and project managers assigned as Team Viewers or Editors as needed.

Projects#

Within each team, members can create Projects to organize tasks and initiatives. Projects are a way to segment work within a team, allowing for focused collaboration on specific objectives.

Example: Projects in the Marketing Team#

The Marketing Team might have the following projects:
SEO Campaign: Focused on improving website visibility through search engine optimization.
Social Media Strategy: Dedicated to planning and executing social media campaigns.
Email Marketing: Handling email outreach and newsletter campaigns.
Each project serves as a container for one or more assistants that aid in achieving the project's goals.

Assistants#

At the most granular level, we have Assistants. Assistants are AI-driven tools configured to help with specific tasks within a project. They are equipped with capabilities like language understanding, retrieving information, or executing specialized functions based on the tools they are integrated with.

Example: Assistants in the Email Marketing Project#

The Email Marketing Project might include the following assistants:
Content Generator Assistant: Helps draft engaging email content.
Analytics Assistant: Provides insights on open rates, click-through rates, and other email campaign metrics.
Contact Manager Assistant: Organizes recipient lists and tracks communication history.

The Importance of This Hierarchy#

This structured hierarchy of Teams, Projects, and Assistants ensures that collaboration is seamless and responsibilities are clearly defined. It allows:
Teams to focus on collective objectives while maintaining control over access and functionality.
Projects to organize workstreams and tasks efficiently.
Assistants to perform specialized tasks within a well-defined scope.
By understanding this hierarchy, users can effectively navigate and utilize Ejento AI to streamline their workflows and maximize productivity.
